Move between merchants of record
Changing the seller relationship can be more than an integration change.
Find the contractual boundary
Identify who currently sells to the buyer and issues the invoice. Moving an MoR subscription can involve a new contractual seller, customer communication and destination underwriting.
Check portability in writing
Ask about subscription transfer, payment-method migration, consent, refunds after departure, invoice access and tax records. Do not infer automatic transfer because both providers use the same processor.
Preserve the service relationship
Maintain entitlements while billing migrates. Reconcile pending refunds and disputes, retained balances and old subscriptions. Keep enough historical data to answer customer questions without assuming perpetual dashboard access.
